UIL District Champions THREE YEARS IN A ROW
JH Boys Basketball Tournament at Big Sandy has been rescheduled from Jan. 11th to Feb. 1st.
We enjoyed hearing all of our QJH bands perform last night at the annual Winter Band Concert!
QISD will be closed from Monday, December the 23rd through Monday, January 6th for Winter Break. Classes will resume as scheduled on Tuesday, January the 7th.
Early release days Thursday the 19th and Friday the 20th. Elem will be released at 1:00pm and JH/HS at 1:15pm.
If you are planning on attending the basketball games at the American Airlines Center tomorrow please be aware that the Dallas Mavericks have a "Clear Bag" policy. No purses or other bags will be allowed into the facility unless they are clear.
Update on Kona Ice: They will be here Thursday, December 19 for snow cones. Prices are $3-$5.

If you purchased Dallas Mavericks tickets for the boy’s basketball game on Wednesday, Dec. 18th, you can pick them up from Ms. Ridenhour at the QISD Administration building. Please come by as soon as you can and pick up your tickets.

WEATHER PERMITTING, Kona Ice will be here Monday around 2:00 to celebrate our Christmas Break. Prices for those are: $3 - $5. Students will be released in a staggered procedure to help service to go as fast as possible.
Congratulations to our basketball teams that won against Alba-Golden. All the boys’ teams won and both girls’ A teams were also victorious over the Panthers. Great job everyone!!
Congratulations to our QJH Greenhand Ag Team that placed 8th in State this past weekend. We are so proud of all of your hard work!
Congratulations to Luke Williams, Alexus Richey, and Kaitlyn Wood for auditioning at their All-Region band auditions and advancing to Area!! Luke, Alexus and Kaitlyn placed well above many other students in our region and will be attending the All-Region clinic and concert to perform with other students in the Area.
Luke Williams auditioned among 60 other trumpet players and placed 13th.
Alexus Richey auditioned among 60 other trumpet players and placed 10th.
Kaitlyn Wood auditioned among 56 other clarinet players and placed 13th.
QISD takes first place!
The Robotics class visited the National Videogame Museum in Frisco, Tx on Dec. 4. Students were able to see the historical timeline of computers and video game consoles. They got to play with many of them too. A great time was had by all, even Coach Scott and Mrs. Johnson!
