Please be advised that the weather forecast for Friday, May 24, is being closely monitored by QISD officials. The graduation ceremony is scheduled to proceed as planned at 8:00 PM on Bud Moody Field.
However, due to potential weather concerns, there might be adjustments. The following options may be necessary depending on the weather:
The start time could be moved up to as early as 6:00 PM. Please plan accordingly for this possibility.
If the chance of rain or storms increases above 50%, the graduation ceremony will be relocated to Ballard Gym. In this event, the ceremony will still commence at 8:00 PM.
We understand the importance of this event and will inform you of any further changes. Your safety and comfort are our priority.

Beginning tomorrow, May 16, 2024, and continuing until June 15th (subject to change), the track will be closed for maintenance, repairs, and painting. During this period, access to the track will be prohibited. We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these necessary improvements are underway.

Starting Monday, April 15, 2024, Bus 6 (Holiday Village) will implement door-to-door stops for all students utilizing the bus service. Quitman Independent School District will have a delayed start Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Campuses will open at 9:15 A.M. Buses will run 2 hours later than normal. Thank you.
Basketball Update:
Due to the winter weather conditions, the basketball games originally scheduled for Tuesday have been rescheduled. The rescheduled games will now take place on Wednesday, January 17, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. Please note that only the Varsity teams will be participating. Thank you for your understanding.
Due to the continued winter weather, Quitman ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 16th. QISD will have a delayed start on Wednesday the 17th, 2024. Classes will begin at 10:00 AM. Every parent/guardian of a Quitman ISD student will be receiving in the mail a letter explaining how to access progress reports/report cards and state testing results through the Quitman ISD’s parent portal. The letter will explain the process for signing up and for using the parent portal, along with a portal ID. We will no longer be sending printed copies of progress reports/report cards home. However, if you would still like to receive a printed copy, please contact your child's campus and let us know. We will be happy to mail you a copy.
