Just a reminder as we get to pretty spring weather - shorts should be no more than 3 inches above the knee and NO flip flops please. Kids can’t keep those flip flops on their feet! Thanks!!!

QES 4th and 5th students are READY TO ROCK THE STAAR Tuesday and Wednesday. We are so proud of our students and staff. Be sure that your child gets a good night’s sleep tonight and a good breakfast in the morning. Give them an extra HUG! We ask that visitors not come to eat lunch during these two days as students may still be testing at lunchtime.

My favorite thing is when our great students come to read to me in my office. This first grader blew me away with his chapter book and strong fluent reading! When asked how he got to be such a great reader he answered, ā€œMy sister taught me.ā€
