Students taking classes in the Health Services area had the opportunity to receive their "Basic Life Support" CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) today. Per the AMA's website (https://cpr.heart.org/en/cpr-c...), this certification "trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED." This course was specifically designed for people in the healthcare industry. About 45 students completed this training and received their certification.
