REMINDER!!! The first bell rings on the elementary campus at 7:45 am and classes begin promptly at 7:50 am. Dismissal each day will be at 3:20 pm. Please plan now to get students here in time to eat breakfast if they need to eat. See you Wednesday!

MEET THE TEACHER was a huge success with loads of kid returning to their classrooms.

NEW FIRST GRADE TEAM MEMBER is Ms. Jessica Kennemer. She is thrilled to meet her students tonight at Meet the Teacher! Ms. Kennemer has been working on her teaching degree for just this moment. See you tonight!

MORNING MEETINGS in elementary classes will teach character and encourage teaching social emotional skills for students. Teachers participated in a “mock” meeting during staff development Monday, Aug. 12.

Remember that Pre-registration for Quitman Elementary School will begin with PreK-2 tomorrow from 9-3 pm. Hope to see you there. Bring immunization, proof of residence, birth certificate, child’s Social Security card and parent Driver’s license.

Meet the Teacher Night

BACK TO BLUE Meet the Teacher Night will be at Quitman Elementary School on Thursday, August 15, from 5-6:30 pm. Students will visit their classrooms and meet their teachers. The event is always an exciting time for students and parents with large crowds attending. Other local organizations will also be in attendance with information on how to join - Boy Scouts, 4-H, Girl Scouts and more. Mark your calendar now for that special kick-off event.

Learning going on at TEPSA Principal’s convention! We are so excited to bring these fantastic ideas to a great new year at Quitman Elementary School!

QISD will be hosting an immunization clinic on Friday August 16, 2019 from 9 AM to 12 PM in the elementary cafeteria. Parents will need to bring a shot record and insurance information. If no insurance, cost will be $5 per shot. Students must be accompanied by a parent.
