UGLY SWEATER DAY featured laughs, creativity and fun at QES!
If you purchased Dallas Mavericks tickets for the boy’s basketball game on Wednesday, Dec. 18th, you can pick them up from Ms. Ridenhour at the QISD Administration building. Please come by as soon as you can and pick up your tickets.
AND THE TREE WINNERS ARE Mrs Jackson’s class - 1st, Mrs. Bowman’s class - 2nd, and Mrs. Brinlee’s class - 3rd. They won with Exit Tickets, conjunctions and shapes.
AND THE WINNERS ARE 1st place - Mrs. Jackson’s Third Grade, Mrs. Bowman’s Fourth Grade and Mrs. Brinlee’s Kindergarten. These three trees studied shapes, conjunctions and featured EXIT tickets.
CHRISTMAS TREE contest at Quitman Elementary was to center on student-made and student learning. These teachers and students are so clever!

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN was featured at Paint With Mom for first grade students Monday night. Sponsored by Librarian Michael Pettiette, it was the 2nd paint night at QES. Art teacher Jenny Howle guided the artists.

LOWE’S HEROES spent the day designing a fabulous Science Garden for Quitman Elementary School on Friday. Over $2,500 in plants plus helpers worked all day to beautify the space. THANKS to Lowe’s of Lindale for the fabulous makeover!
TURKEY TROTTERS came to join their students running for hot chocolate and prizes for top runners! This is the third annual Turkey Trot at QES.
