Kaylee Wood gets ready to begin  Headline Writing contest

QHS students recently competed in the Central Texas Invitational Meet 2022 (CENTEX). This special event is sponsored by the UIL Journalism Director and focuses on UIL Journalism events. The meet is held on each school district’s campus. This year marked a record number of entries with 2581 students across Texas participating.

QHS students competed within a group of other 3A school districts. They competed against students from Mexia, Nazareth, Plains and Lipan ISDs. The event ran all week and results took about a week to tally. QHS students ranked within our group as follows:
