Quitman ISD is proud to announce the Top Ten Graduates of the QHS Class of 2021. 

This year's valedictorian is Kaitlynn Brooke Barnett. Kaitlyn is the 17-year-old daughter of Stephanie and Ronny Barnett. While in high school, she has been involved in clubs and activities including the National Honor Society, Student Council, Anchor Club, Band and Powerlifting. Kaitylnn currently serves as the Senior Class President and as secretary in the QHS chapter of the National Honor Society. Two of her proudest accomplishments throughout high school is serving as Drum Major for the Proud Blud Band for two years and competing at the state level in Powerlifting. After high school, Kaitlynn plans to attend the University of Texas in Austin and earn her Bachelor's degree in Business, with a focus on Accounting. She also hopes to become a part of the UT Longhorn Powerlifting Team.

Lucy Fairfax Brannon is the Class of 2021's Salutatorian. Lucy is the 18-year-old daughter of Emily Attaway and the granddaughter of Jim and Sally Attaway. She has been involved in FFA, Varsity Volleyball, National Honor Society, Student Council, Key Club and UIL. She is this year's NHS Vice-President, Quitman FFA Chapter Vice-President, and Student Council Reporter. Lucy considers her greatest accomplishment to be advancing to state in FFA Leadership and Career Development Events four times and placing in the top 6 three of those times. After graduation, Lucy will be attending Tyler Junior College to earn a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene, Miss Brannon would like to thank everyone who has supported her over these last four years, and most importantly, she would like to thank God for His unconditional love. She knows her future is in His hands.

Rounding out the Class of 2021's Top Ten are: Oscar Roman, Aiden Corrior, Lexie Wilson, Landon Peckham, Keeley Glidewell, Kaitlin Kelley, Kathryn Hudman, and Katelyn Manuel.
