It was a great night to be a Bulldog at October's School Board meeting! 🐾
Our Student Spotlight featured some outstanding Bulldogs from Quitman High School and Quitman Elementary School.
QES students Tatum Brady and Emory Black kicked off the meeting by leading everyone in the pledges. They represented their campus wonderfully!
QHS students Lilly and Marc were introduced by Mr. Tittle and shared their experiences as foreign exchange students at Quitman High School. Lilly, a senior from Switzerland, expressed her gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to experience all that senior year has to offer, including participating in cheerleading and FCCLA. Marc, a sophomore, shared how much he has enjoyed getting involved in FCCLA, Construction, and Ag, along with the many other opportunities available at QHS. Both students spoke about the friendships they’ve made, how welcomed they’ve felt, and how much they’re looking forward to the rest of the school year. We are so glad they are part of our Bulldog family!
This month’s Top Dog Award went to our incredible Maintenance and Grounds Team, better known as the BLUE CREW!
These gentlemen work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to keep our campuses looking their best and everything running smoothly. From maintaining our grounds to tackling repairs across the district, there’s no shortage of ways they make a difference every single day! Recently, two members of the team, Robert and Ian (not pictured), were among the first to respond to a small grass fire near Quitman Elementary. Without hesitation, they jumped into action to help when it was needed most. Their quick response is just one example of the dedication and willingness to go above and beyond that this team demonstrates daily. We are incredibly grateful for all they do to take care of our schools, students, and staff, and we couldn’t be prouder to recognize them!
