We are thrilled to share that Quitman ISD students and staff rose to the challenge with outstanding results on the redesigned 2025 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR)! The new accountability ratings show our district earned an overall B rating of 84, with the Elementary at 82, Junior High at 86, and High School at 88. Even more exciting, our campuses earned five distinctions across the district—a true celebration of hard work and dedication.

Quitman Elementary received distinctions in Postsecondary Readiness and Closing the Gaps. Quitman Junior High earned honors in Comparative Academic Growth and Closing the Gaps, while Quitman High School was recognized for Academic Achievement in Science.

In addition, our students outperformed the state and region in 14 out of 18 areas: Elementary in 3rd & 4th grade math and 4th grade reading; Junior High in math, reading, and social studies; and High School in English I & II, U.S. History, and Biology. These achievements highlight our students, staff, and families' incredible effort to work together for success.

Quitman ISD is proud to celebrate these accomplishments and looks forward to building on this momentum as we continue to grow.
