Local businesses were honored at the November Quitman ISD School Board meeting. The awards were presented by the Board and Superintendent Turner on behalf of The Texas Association of School Boards. TASB annually seeks nominations by local school districts of businesses that show outstanding support to Texas Public Schools. Quitman ISD was honored to have so many businesses nominated.
Mrs. Rhonda Turner, Quitman ISD Superintendent, stated "We are grateful for the generosity of the businesses represented here tonight and their commitment to help make a real difference for our kids and our community. Our students, parents, and teachers directly benefit from businesses that are willing to stand up for public schools, not just in words but in their actions. We sincerely thank the businesses represented here tonight and hope that this will continue to be a strong relationship for years to come".
